Production Flow

POLIROM PACKAGING owns and offers solutions for the complete production and tracking of the technological flow.

Prepress:

We process over 6,500 artworks annually, our specialists prepare for printing, on the CTP equipment chain 200 sqm of plates daily.

Printing:

For the actual printing, our production flow has KBA and Komori machines with 2, 5, and 6 color groups, in 1/1 or 1/2 format. These ensure quality printing and maximum flexibility so that each order is efficiently planned.

Die-cutting:

We have three Heidelberg die-cutting machines in 1/1 format. For these we have in our die-cutting catalog over 1,500 pieces equipped with braille text and die-cutting devices. We continue to optimize our production flow, efficiently leveraging the sheets produced by the printing machines.

Gluing:

The die-cutting boxes are finally processed on 4 KBA-Omega and Vesta gluing machines, which can glue in 1, 2, and 3 points, the usual systems for the pharmaceutical industry packaging.

Leaflet folding:

For leaflet folding we have 4 folding machines which allow the folding of the leaflets in a multitude of ways, covering the entire spectrum of customer requests.

Tracking processes, product quality:

The Loyds certification, obtained in 2000 with the ISO 9001 standard, represents the important guarantee of the quality of our products. To this certification is added a series of partnerships with our beneficiaries from the pharmaceutical industry, in which we continually develop the quality of our internal production processes with outstanding results on finished products.

Artwork service

Our prepress/DTP specialists, with extensive experience in the field, process, preparing for print, artwork files from the major graphic applications used in the industry (PDF, AI, CDR formats).
The result of the processing is approved by the beneficiary through the procedure of granting the “printing asset”, so that the whole production flow is certain of the correct reproduction of all the graphic, dimensional and coloring elements of the final product.

Choosing print media

We provide the technical data for the main types of cardboard used, together with a software tool that allows the establishment of equivalents between different types of media support. Thus, we decide together which is the optimal solution to obtaining a packaging that meets the customer’s requirements: stability, rigidity, good cost-quality ratio.
